Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Kestrel Audit (the “Service”), a read-only Google Ads health-audit and monitoring tool operated by Ontrepreneur (“Kestrel”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Kestrel connects to your Google Ads account, with your authorisation, and reads it to produce a health score, a list of potential issues, and recommendations. Kestrel is a diagnostic and reporting tool only. It is read-only and does not create, edit, pause, delete, or otherwise change anything in your Google Ads account. Any changes to your account are made by you.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login details secure, and for all activity under your account.

3. Free audit, trial, and subscriptions

  • You can run a free audit and use the Service free for an introductory trial period (currently 14 days).
  • To continue after the trial, a paid subscription (currently Essential or Pro) is required.
  • If you add a payment method during your trial, your subscription will start automatically when the trial ends, and you authorise us (through our payment provider, Stripe) to charge your card on a recurring basis at the then-current price until you cancel.
  • If you do not add a payment method, your access will simply pause when the trial ends; your audit history is retained so you can resume by subscribing.
  • You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
  • We may change our prices or plans on reasonable notice. Changes apply to future billing periods.

4. Connecting your Google Ads account

You authorise Kestrel to access your Google Ads account on a read-only basis through Google’s OAuth sign-in. You confirm you are entitled to grant that access. You can revoke it at any time in Kestrel or in your Google Account. You remain solely responsible for your Google Ads account, your advertising spend, and any decisions you make based on Kestrel’s recommendations.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including not to: attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours; interfere with or disrupt the Service; reverse-engineer or copy it; or use it for any unlawful purpose.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by Ontrepreneur and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. Your data remains yours.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. Kestrel’s health score and recommendations are informational only; we do not guarantee any particular result, improvement, or advertising performance. You are responsible for reviewing recommendations before acting on them. Kestrel is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ontrepreneur will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue, or advertising spend, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other laws that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; we will handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the courts of New Zealand have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
